Mayumi Organics began in 2013, founded by Angelica Chongco out of a desire to create effective personal care products while building something meaningful for her family.

What started with handmade soaps gradually grew into a deeper interest in formulation and product development. Angelica pursued formal training in organic skincare formulation and natural cosmetic preservation, while continuing to learn through international courses and industry events.

In 2018, Mayumi began exploring a more sustainable approach to personal care. We started developing zero-waste and package-free products, including our shampoo bars, which we brought to different pop-ups and events. It was our first step toward making greener personal care a bigger part of what we do.

By 2020, we expanded into bottled hair care with our bestselling Gugo Shampoo and Conditioner. We were the first brand to put Gugo Bark in a Bottle, turning a traditional Filipino ingredient into a signature part of our brand. Not long after, we expanded into body care with our Eczema-Friendly Unscented Oatmeal Lotion, which continues to be one of our bestsellers today.

As Mayumi grew, so did the businesses we worked with. In 2024, we began taking on larger clients and supplying products across different industries, including hospitality and healthcare. What started as a small personal care brand had grown into a product development and manufacturing partner for businesses with different needs.

Today, we continue to create our own beauty and personal care products while helping other brands bring their ideas to life. Our experience in retail, formulation and manufacturing allows us to approach product development with a practical understanding of both the product and the business behind it.
