Our Story
Angelica Chongco left her BPO career in 2012 to be a stay-at-home mom. Rediscovering her love for soap making, she started reselling soaps but faced challenges due to lack of knowledge. Undeterred, she learned through self-study and workshops, even enrolling in an organic cosmetic school.
Over the next few years, Angelica balanced running her business, studying, developing products, and caring for her child with special needs. A breakthrough came in 2017 with a large order for ASEAN delegates. This success propelled Mayumi Organics to open a physical store and participate in bazaars, experiencing significant growth. Facing increasing demand, Angelica relocated to a bigger space in 2018, further solidifying the business. Mayumi Organics continued to adapt and thrive through the pandemic, launching new products and digitizing its operations. The brand's journey exemplifies passion, resilience, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

We are passionate about SDG12 “Responsible Consumption and Production” and SDG 14 “Life below water”. In the Philippines alone, 163 Million single use plastic sachets are used per day . Our country also had the largest share of global plastic waste discarded in the ocean in 2019. We cannot stress how important and urgent it is to be at the forefront of tackling our plastic crisis-we will all be reaping its effects in the coming years if we do not act now.
